Waco is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Waco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I wouldnβt get ice cream from this shop. The customer consideration was pretty poor and I have concerns about the cleanliness. I walked in later in the evening and the nitro ran out in the middle of making my ice cream. Then when they remade the ice cream it was lumpy. Definitely not the smoothest icecream ever. So I donβt think they replaced any of the ingredients and then I still was asked to pay full price. I donβt want to ask for my food to be comped if the experience is poor. That makes the experience worse and just puts a sour taste in my mouth. I want the restaurant to give some level of care for their customer and their product. The owners need to do some training of their employees to think for themselves and consider the customer experience. As far as cleanliness goes there was defiantly a small cockroach crawling on the customer side of the counter. It is Texas and cockroaches are a thing so I will give a bit of grace. But I am writing a review anyway so I am going to be full and truthful in my experience. The owners might want to think about prioritizing customer service and cleanliness.

My teenage daughter visited this location this evening with two of her friends. This is her review: We were craving a sweet treat after a delicious night out at Sagrado. So we decided to go next door to SubZero ice cream. This place is marketed as high end ice cream with a fun twist using nitrogen gas to make it βsub zeroβ. We walked in and were not greeted and had to initiate getting their attention to order. There were about 5 employees behind the counter only one came over to help us and was being trained. This one employee and her trainer helped all three of us at a slow pace for 15 minutes with another family behind us waiting to be served while there were three other perfectly capable employees to help them. We then proceeded to head to the register to wait to checkout. My milkshake was finished and our other two orders were in the making. At this point an employee then said that they were out of nitrogen and that was all for the night. Mind you it was 6 pm and us three and the other family were the only customers in the joint. The only thing that had been made in the 20 minutes was my milkshake. They said they were βsorryβ and then proceeded to say that we βmight get a free

I visited Sub Zero Ice Cream for the first time today, and it was a fantastic experience! Alonzo greeted me as soon as I walked in and was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful throughout my visit. Alonzo took the time to explain how the ice cream is made using liquid nitrogen, which was really interesting to learn about. He also guided me through the process of choosing my flavors, toppings, and ingredients, making it easy and enjoyable. I chose Rocky Road ice cream and it was great, but what really made the experience stand out was Alonzo's exceptional level of service. His knowledge, positive energy, and genuine willingness to help turned a really cool experience into a memorable one. I'll definitely be back!
